The GMFC Foundation

Greater Manchester Football Club is a club that has it roots planted firmly in the community. Since 2018 the club has been an active part of the range of communities across Greater Manchester with a particular drive to promote inclusion within the BAME and LGBTQ+ communities.
The club was extremely proud to have been nominated for the 2021 Northwest Inclusion award alongside clubs such as Manchester United and Everton. We were also very proud of having won the Outstanding Achievement of the Year award in the 2021 British Asian Awards in recognition of the work done to help the Asian and Muslim community across Greater Manchester gain crucial access to a range of sports and training opportunities.
Having seen our community work grow from strength to strength, in 2021 the club launched The Greater Manchester FC Foundation. A brand new CIC to oversee the community ambitions of the club and build on the amazing work done. Our excellent team of staff are all dedicated to promote Diversity and Inclusion and see not just the value but the absolute need for an organisation like The Greater Manchester FC Foundation to exist.
We will continue to do whatever we can to help bring communities together and invite you to play you part and join us on our journey.

Football clubs are also community institutions that can inspire and motivate. Through GMFC CIC, we aim to deliver projects to educate, inform and instigate better living & health changes, from tackling obesity and diabetes to mental health and cardiovascular diseases. Our Social health agenda will focus on building inter-community bridges and facilitate a better service provider – recipient relationship.
